Last year was rough for me. An autoimmune disease turned my life upside down. It was grueling. But what I learned about myself I will never trade. I pray that what I have gained by going through the storm, will be worth the pound of flesh I gave up...and those close to my experience know I mean that almost too literally...my symptoms were straight-up biblical, something out of the Book of Job, no joke...But I'm still here. Getting back to it. Grateful AF.

The intro was staged, but the card I pulled was unplanned, and my reaction to it is real. I learned the Six of Swords is a tarot card symbolizing transition, leaving behind "troubled waters" for a calmer, more peaceful future. It also signifies a necessary journey towards healing and recovery. So…I've had a rough past year battling a rare autoimmune condition. While I'm still in treatment getting at the last of it, I can finally see the rough seas parting, and the light peering back into my life.
